Team UXC Racing Wins Heartland Challenge Pro 4x4
Team UXC Racing Wins Pro 4x4 Class at Heartland Challenge

2015 Heartland Challenge
Shelbyville, TN (8/26/2015) - Team UXC arrived in Des Moines, IA to take on the GBC Motorsports Heartland 10 hour Challenge. The team had high hopes for strong podium finishes and they sure delivered on their goal.

Team UXC Racing team of Michael Swift, Kevin Trantham and Michael Burrows lead from start to finish to win the Pro 4x4 Class

In the Pro 4x4 class, Michael Swift, Kevin Trantham and Michael Burrows took on a strong field but dominated their class from the outset. The team did not drop the lead for the whole race even during pit stops. Despite the race being cut short due to severe thunderstorms and heavy rainfall, they won with over a lap in hand and put the Polaris Scrambler in the center of the box. The machine performed exceptionally and ate up the Challenge route each lap even when night fell thanks to the Rigid Industries awesome lights turning the daylight back on. Those Custom Axis Shocks working with the Teixeira-Tech A arms and Fasst bars are definitely a winning combination. As if a class win wasn’t enough, the Team UXC boys took 3rd in the overall too.

It was a good day for the Polaris Ace as the new machine took on the Heartland Challenge for the first time in a special hour and half race. Team UXC dominated the podium with Torey Rush taking 1st and Josh Copeland 2nd place ahead of the talented Jesi Stracham in 3rd.

The boys set the bar for the UTV race where drivers, Trantham and Swift and passenger, Becky Widdicombe took on the course for the 4 hour race. After making a good start, Trantham piloted the Polaris RZR 900S to place 5th by the time night fell. Once again the Rigid Industries Lights brought the daylight back. It was the strength of the Ricochet Off Road armor that shone through as it protected the RZR 900S from the time-saving toughness of the Challenge route. Trantham and Swift continued to pull back places each lap with an awesome drive that put the Team UXC Polaris RZR 900S on the podium 2nd in class.

As if that wasn’t enough, Team UXC continued to collect the podium places by taking the 40+ class win with a dominant performance finishing over 4 laps ahead of 2nd place. This gave Don Higbee another win for 2015 and Team UXC’s British rider, Graham Widdicombe, his first win of the season. Team UXC’s last team, Nic Snyckers and Josh Copeland, took on the largest class of the event. Although not finishing on the podium, their Polaris Scrambler took on the whole race and performed faultlessly. The riders had a rest, but the machine didn’t – it sure didn’t need it either!

So that wraps up the 2015 Heartland Challenge. Team UXC Racing would like to thank Andy and the team for putting on an awesome event. The Team UXC Polaris Scrambler package combined with a faultless pit crew continues to deliver first class results and we owe this to the sponsors who kindly support us.
