North Branch, MN (9/18/2015) -
Mystik Lubricants / ATVRiders.com driver Mickey
Thomas scored a third-place finish and sits third
in points after Rounds 3 and 4 of the TerraCross
Championship Pro RZR UTV series at Sno Barons Hay
Days. Thomas has one victory and an additional podium
in four races in Terracross Racing this season.
Terracross racing was held as part of the annual
Sno Barons Hay Days, which attracts thousands
of spectators out annually, and this year, a huge
crowd surrounded the Terracross track looking
to catch a glimpse of some of the exciting racing
action, and Mickey Thomas was on driver to put
on a show for the fans as he charged to a podium
finish in round three.

In the first race, Thomas outlasted Cody Rahders.
Both had trouble keeping their machines on track
during the race. In the final laps, Rahders rolled
over, handing Thomas the final spot on the podium
to Thomas, which was his second podium finish
of the season
“That was a good time,” said Thomas. “Cody and
I went back and forth a couple of times. He bicycled
it, and I took the spot. It wasn’t easy for me,
either. It’s hard jumping in this stock RZR after
driving a heavily modified RZR in WORCS. I was
bicycling and I was all over the place, but it
was fun.”

in Round 3 of the Terracross Championship

Unfortunately the second race wasn’t kind to
Thomas. Thomas was running third and charging
to the front when his RZR suffered a flat tire,
moving him to eighth at the finish.
“I started on the third row on the inside, so
I definitely had some work to do,” explained Thomas.
“I made my way up to third and was battling with
Jason Luburgh. We got into some lapped traffic
and I came over the Mystik Mangler hard and blew
a rear tire. They got me flipped over. I kept
going and finished the race.

Mickey Thomas was in the running for another
podium finish in Round 4 battling with
Jason Luburgh for the 2nd spot when he
flipped over in the final laps of the
race, which has him 3rd in the points
championship heading into the season finale

“Mystik goes hand in hand with Polaris Industries,”
added Thomas. It’s perfect when you have a RZR.
They build an awesome product. It’s a good partnership
to have. They support TerraCross. Being a Mystik
sponsored guy is pretty cool.”
The final doubleheader of the Terracross Championship
season has been postponed, and the new date and
location will be announced in the near future
after some issues came up for the event originally
scheduled for Charlotte Motor Speedway, which
was a bonus for Thomas because it conflicted with
his WORCS race at Glen Helen on September 26th.
Thomas plans on going for the Pro RZR Championship
at the final doubleheader weekend of the Terracross
Championship to be announced.
