Phoenix, AZ (4/3/2015) -
Lonestar/JRi’s David Flores finished
in second place on the Pro-am podium at round
four of the 2015 WORCS series at Lake Havasu
and also earned a second place finish in the
Production A class.
Lake Havasu is one of the roughest courses
in the WORCS series and high temps over the
weekend added to the fatigue the track can
induce, but David Flores was ready for the
brutal conditions.

LSR's David Flores claimed his
second straight WORCS Pro-Am Podium
finish with a second place finish at
Lake Havasu |
In the Pro-am class, Flores had a mid-pack
start and made an impressive charge into second
place. During the fifth lap however, he had
to stop in the pits to tighten his bars, which
had come loose. Flores charged back out in
sixth place and battled his way back through
traffic. Just three laps before the end of
the race, Flores took over second place. Flores
pushed hard and tried to catch the leader,
but ran out of time and finished in a solid
second place.

JRi's David Flores launches the
WORCS Lagoon Jump |
“I worked up to second and held it there
for a while but the track was brutal and my
handle bars came loose. I got back out there
and battled it out with a couple of guys and
made it back to second. My JRi suspension
really helped with that. We had it dialed
in really good and it soaked up all the bumps
and whoops great. My Lonestar / Golden Motorsports
/ JRI / Goldspeed quad is probably the best
quad I have ever ridden. I really can’t thank
my sponsors enough; without their support
I wouldn’t be able to be here racing,” said
Flores.

in Pro-Am |
In the Production A class, David Flores showed
what true sportsmanship is when he stopped
to help another rider who had crashed and
was pinned under his quad. “I didn’t get a
good start, and I was towards the back. I
came around a couple of corners and got to
an uphill whoop section and I saw Brian Sirevaag,
who was stuck under his quad. He was waving
for help and no one was stopping to help him.
I thought ‘this is more important’, so I stopped
and helped him. I made sure he was ok and
then got back out there,” explained Flores.

from under his quad & still finished
in the second spot |
Stopping to help his fellow racer cost Flores
a couple of minutes, time wise, but he has
no regrets. “I put in some good laps and caught
back up and finished second. I was glad I
stopped to help; and being able to help someone
out like that makes me feel even better about
my race” said Flores
Round five of the 2015 WORCS series will
head to Sand Hollow in Hurricane, UT on April
17-19 where David Flores will be going for
the win.
