Price, UT (4/2/2015) -
Lindsay Machine Racing’s Robbie Mitchell
charged his way to his fourth consecutive podium
finish, in second, at round four of the 2015
WORCS series at Lake Havasu and has established
himself as a serious contender for the WORCS
Pro ATV championship.
Robbie Mitchell has had the best season of
his career so far and earned podium finishes
in even the roughest courses. Lake Havasu,
which hosted round four of the 2015 WORCS
series, is notorious for its brutal conditions,
but Mitchell was determined to keep his streak
alive.

Mitchell, who is known for his excellent
dead engine starts, shot off the line and
grabbed the holeshot. “My Lindsay Machine
engine fired right up as usual and got me
the holeshot. I love the dead engine starts;
they always get me out front,” said Mitchell.

Mitchell was under pressure right away but
held his lead for three laps. “We had a good
battle going out there, and it was a lot of
fun. I had the lead for three laps and got
passed. I tried to stay close, I couldn’t
close the gap enough before I ran out of time,”
said Mitchell, who claimed a very respectable
second place.
Robbie Mitchell, who got married just a couple
of weeks before the Lake Havasu round was
a little surprised at his results, but happy
none the less. “I’m really happy with my finish,
especially after not training for two weeks
after we got married, but I think that has
also helped boost my confidence and just having
that support is great,” said Mitchell.

After his strong performance at Lake Havasu,
Robbie Mitchell has been on the podium for
every round, which has given him a huge boost
in confidence and a shot at the 2015 WORCS
Pro ATV Championship. “It has been really
cool to be on the podium every round. My goal
has been to be on the podium every race and
it’s working so far. I’m going to try to keep
doing what I’m doing and hopefully I can continue
to stay on the podium,” said Mitchell.
Mitchell is currently third in series points
and within striking distance of the championship
with only an 11 point deficit from the point’s
leader. “I’m going to keep training and trying
to achieve my goal, so we will see what happens,”
said Mitchell.
Round number five of the 2015 WORCS series
heads to Sand Hollow in Hurricane, UT on April
17-19, where Robbie Mitchell will be going
for another WORCS podium finish, in his home
state of Utah.
