Las Vegas, NV (10/1/2015)
– Gold Speed’s Ty Sanders earned two top-five
finishes over the weekend during the Glen Helen
WORCS. Sanders finished second in the Production
A race and earned a fifth-place finish in Pro-am
class.
Sanders netted his best finish of the season
with his first podium of 2015 in Production
A. Suffering from blistering hands, Sanders
challenged the leader throughout the race
before finishing second.

“It’s been a long year,” said Sanders, who
sits fifth in Production A points. “To finally
get on the box was like getting a monkey off
of my back. It was a great feeling. With two
laps left, I rolled the grip on the throttle;
my hands were already blistering up, and I
wanted to save myself for the Pro-am race.”
Still suffering from blisters, Sanders took
the lead in the second corner of the Pro-Am
race, but his Honda started to overheat and
he had to pit. Coming out sixth, Sanders took
fifth on the final lap.

“This was the hardest battle for fifth I’ve
had in my life,” said Sanders. “The Goldspeed
Tires pulled until there was no tomorrow.
They had great traction. The Fox shocks really
helped today. The bike was really dialed in.”
Sanders will be back in action Oct. 16-18th
when WORCS heads west to Primm, NV for the
season finale.
