BDR’s Larry Heidler Buffalo Bills Race Report
WORCS Pro SxS Racer Larry Heidler

Primm, NV (2/5/2016) - BRD’s Larry Heidler competed in round two of the WORCS series in Primm, Nevada. The event was held at Buffalo Bills Casino and Resort just 30 minutes west of Las Vegas.

The track at Buffalo Bills Casino and Resort is known to be high speed and extremely rough. The sandy, gravely soil gets whooped out and gives the racers a real challenge. Part of the Lucas oil truck course is also utilized and provides big table-top jumps and whoop sections.

The weather was great for racing but the winds posed a challenge. High winds and 40mph gusts kept the track crew hard at work watering and maintaining the course to keep the dust down.

Heidler took off to a great start on Saturday. “I started out on the front row with ninth pick. I had a good jump around seventh or eighth and started charging,” explained Heidler.

Unfortunately, circumstances beyond Heidler’s control caused him to DNF. “At the start of the race on Saturday the car was running really good, but around the third lap my primary clutch let go,” stated Heidler.

The FOX Shox trackside support was huge for Heidler over the weekend. “It was bouncing around but I took it over to FOX and got it adjusted. Even as bad and rough as the track got, the shocks were really good. If you have questions, they have answers. We appreciate FOX being here because it helps us out a lot,” stated Heidler.

Heidler’s GBC Motorsports tires were also performing great. “We did a tire change to the GBC Mongrels that I was very happy with. They hooked up great and railed the berms really well,” said Heidler.

Despite the DNF finish, Heidler stayed positive. “I had a good time until it came to an end,” said Heidler. “I want to thank my sponsors they always stick behind me through thick and thin. We’ll get it fixed up and try to make the UTV world finals, and if not I’ll be back at Southpoint to give it another shot.”

The third round of WORCS will be held February 26-28 at the South Point Casino in Las Vegas, NV.
