CST’s Beau Baron Takes Three Podium Finishes at Vegas WORCS
Wins ATV Pro Race, Third in
Pro Production & Pro Unlimited
Taft, CA (3/4/2016) - CST’s Beau Baron won his third consecutive Pro ATV race at Round 3 of the WORCS Championship at South Point Casino and Resort. A calm and calculated approach netted him a third-place finishes in both the Pro Production and Pro Unlimited classes.
The races were held on a unique racecourse set up in the casino’s three horse arenas, as well as the grounds surrounding the venue. The tough track included several different surfaces, including dirt, clay, asphalt, concrete and sand, as well as tunnel sections and big air jumps.

In the ATV Pro race, Baron started mid-pack and worked his way up to the front on the unique course, and fought his way past Robbie Mitchell to take the victory and extend his points lead.
“We came into a left-hand corner, and he pinched me into the log,” said Baron of the battle with Mitchell. “He gassed it and ripped the hood off my bike. I could have pushed him off his bike, but I was really in awe. So I said: You know what dude? I’m going to run you down.’ I put in a hard charge and I got him. After that I never looked back. It was a good race for me.

“My hat is off to CST Tires and Sparks
for making the traction and motor work, and to
Elka and Roll for my shocks and suspension,”
added Baron. “I thought I made the wrong
decision to run the CST Motocross tire. I was
having trouble in the sand section. I had to jam
through the sand not to get stuck, but the tire
was really the perfect choice in the end, and
I think the results speak for themselves.”
In the Pro Production SxS, Baron bounced back from bad luck in the last round to finish third, which boosted Baron back into the points chase in the third spot just 13 points out of the lead. After getting off to a last-place start due to carnage in the first corner, Baron drove a smart race to net the podium finish.
“I knew I had to be calm,” explained Baron. “Because if you get riled up here, you’ll get stuck on a log or one of these tunnels so easy and people were doing it all over the place. I just wanted to take my time and not have too many issues. A lot of people had DNFs here, so I’m pretty happy with third.

“I was really bummed after the last race,”
continued Baron. “I was sitting fifth in
points and now I’m in the top three so that’s
good. This is only Round 3, and we have a lot
to go. We’re hoping we can pull off some
wins and get it done. The Holz Polaris is awesome.
The thing works so well. When it’s on, it’s
on.”
Baron went on to also claim a third place finish in the Pro SxS Unlimited class as well, which was his second podium finish of the season in the class. The podium finish moved Baron up into the fourth spot in the points championship.
