DWT's Collins Webster Fourth at WORCS Round 2
WORCS Racing – Round 2 – Buffalo Bills Race Report

Vista, CA (2/5/2016) - C&R Farms/DWT/SSI Decals rider Collins Webster scored his second consecutive top five, finishing fourth in Round 2 of the WORCS Championship at Buffalo Bill’s Casino and Resort. Webster also finished eighth in the Pro Stock Side by Side race.

Collins almost took third, but he had an ECU overheating problem that slowed his charge at the end of the race. Being a true racer, Webster found a remarkable solution to the problem.

“I ripped my seat off and threw it into the desert,” laughed Webster. “I ended up stuffing rocks under the ECU to keep it from overheating. I held the position, but it definitely cost us a third-place finish. We made it to the finish line, but I’m kind of bummed. I made a Kamikaze move at the end of the race to try to catch third, but I just ran out of time.”

The move made it difficult for Webster to run on the rough, technical and sandy course. “I’m not sure how it affected my riding, but I can’t tie my shoes right,” quipped Webster.

In the Side by Side race, Collins started last and drove hard on the rough and difficult course to finish in the top 10.

“I left it all out there,” said an exhausted Webster. “I drove it as hard as I could, but we fell a little short. I have to give a shout out to Josh Frederick. He pulled out four DWT Tires for me for this race. I’m thankful to him. The FOX Shocks worked really well, especially as rough as the course was.”

Webster is looking forward to the next round when WORCS visits the South Point Casino and Arenas in Las Vegas February 26-28.
