WORCS Racing - Round 3 - South Point Casino

Haagsma took the holeshot was leading the Pro SxS race on the first lap when he hit one of the shipping containers that were used as tunnels on the unique course. Though his crew scrambled and got him back on track, he finished just one lap short and had an unfortunate DNF.

“We focused on the Side by Side because we wanted to make sure we played it safe for the upcoming ATV Supercross,” said Haagsma. “I led the first lap, but made a mistake and hit one of the containers. It bent the axle and the trailing arm. We got it back together, but we finished just one lap short and had a DNF. Missing it by one lap really sucks because it really hurts us in points.

“This was the biggest turnout of spectators they’ve ever had for WORCS,” added Haagsma. “So that was kind of exciting.”

Even the rare DNF couldn’t wipe the smile off Haagsma’s face as he readies to make his Daytona AMA Pro Racing ATV debut this weekend. Haagsma is racing the entire ATV Motorcross schedule this year.
