Haagsma missed the Friday practice session, so he had a lot of catching up to do as he hit the track. His experience paid off as he drove from seventh to record his third WORCS Pro SxS podium finish of the season.

“Missing practice really put me at a disadvantage, but to finish on the podium after arriving here at 1 a.m. this morning is great,” said Haagsma. “I like the next couple of tracks, so hopefully we get a chance at the championship. There was definitely some luck involved today.”

Haagsma’s car was perfect all weekend. Considering he was racing in the AMA ATV Motocross National Championship just last weekend in Texas, perfect preparation was key to his success.

“The whole car hooked up,” said Haagsma. “The Maxxis Tires and the Sparks Engine really hooked me up. Tire Blocks…we’re smashing into rocks and they held together. We’ll go home, practice, and fly back to Tennessee. We’ll keep improving and keep learning.”

Haagsma returns to the AMA ATV Motocross National Championship for Round 3 of the series, April 23-24 at Muddy Creek Raceway in Tennessee, and he will return to WORCS racing on Memorial Day weekend at Iron Mine Raceway in Cedar City, Utah.
