Jami Luburgh, who won the 2014 Women’s Terracross
Championship, had difficulties in the first two
rounds in Minnesota. She recovered nicely hear
to score a runner-up finish and two thirds.
“I started out the season having not even been
on a motocross track in over a year, so I had
some bugs to work out,” said Luburgh. “I had a
blast in 2014. It was my first year racing a UTV.
Terracross has stepped it up over the last few
years and have pulled in a great group of women.
We put on the best races and we have the most
carnage. Then, when we’re finished, we’re good
friends.”

Luburgh was the star of the show that was held
under adverse weather conditions. With heavy rain
in the area, Luburgh and the rest of the field
had to contend with muddy and rough conditions
all weekend. She praised her brother Jason, who
built track led the maintenance crew during the
event.
“We got 14 inches of rain in three days, but
the track crew was awesome,” said Luburgh. “They
pulled it off and we had an awesome track for
the weekend. The Women Pro Class features some
of the best UTV racers in the world and we had
some serious battles out there. Sara Price, Shelby
Anderson and myself were battling for points.
Everyone was just battling hard out there. Anyone
could have won it this weekend.”
Luburgh was proud of her brother for another
reason. She joined with her mother and her kids
cheering him on as he won his third consecutive
Terracross RZR XP 1000 Racer Class Championship.

“I am so happy for Jason,” said Luburgh. “He’s
hands down one of the most talented UTV racers
out there. It comes naturally for him. It’s second
nature for him. I’m proud of him and hopefully
next year he can come out and get a fourth championship.”
Watch for Jami Luburgh as she continues to take
on the top competitors in UTV competition.
