Rastrelli had his work cut out for him, though.

for the main by winning the LCQ. After getting
one of the last gate picks for the main event,
Rastrelli challenged his way to the front to earn
the runner-up finish.

“I had a nice little get-off,” said Rastrelli
of his crash in his heat. “I went into a hole
and fell off the bike. That really put a fire
under my butt and made me ride even better. I
charged ahead in the main and I knew the work
I put in during the winter would pay off. I just
stayed consistent and didn’t make any mistakes.
I had some really good lines out there today,
made my moves and rode a solid race.”
Rastrelli rode his race on Goldspeed Tires through
his sponsorship with Root River Racing. He also
made the switch to a Honda this year.

“The bike was just perfect today,” added Rastrelli.
“The Goldspeed Tires are unbelievable. We got
them onboard just a few weeks ago. If I could
recommend to anyone thinking about buying a tire,
it would be a Goldspeed.”
“This is definitely a lot better start to the
year,” said Rastrelli. “It’s nice to be in the
hunt for the championship. The JB Racing/Root
River/Goldspeed/Baldwin powered Honda is unbelievable.
The whole program is unbelievable this year. Hard
work really pays off.”
Rastrelli starts off the year with a runner-up
finish and he’ll be ready as the AMA ATV Motocross
National Championship next heads to Underground
MX in Texas April 9-10.
