Truckee, CA (12/7/2016) - MAD
Racing’s Amin Patel and co-driver Sergio Delgadillo
finished out their first full season in the
Best in the Desert Series season finale Pahrump
Nugget 250. The pair are preparing for a full-on
assault on the 2017 season in their Polaris
RZR 1000 in the 1900 Class.
Though a belt problem sidelined their charge
while running fifth in class, consistent results
in BITD and in the VORA Series has MAD Racing
itching for 2017.

out for the final Best in the Desert
race of the season |
“I’m coming back 100 percent,” said Patel.
“We’ll rebuild the engine and the car and
get back in the game. I’m letting the other
drivers know that I’m here to race.”
Patel earned one podium during his rookie
campaign in 2016. He finished second in Parker
250 season opener. He also won two races in
the VORA Series, which sanctions the King
of the Hammers race.

BITD season with a 2nd place finish
at the Parker 250 & he went on to
finish Top 10 in the UTV Pro Points
Championship |
“It’s our rookie season, so this has been
a learning experience for us,” explained Patel.
“We finished second in our first race of the
season at the Parker 250. That was amazing
for us. Being able to get that and run the
Mint, the World Championship, Vegas to Reno,
and Laughlin was awesome for us. I also won
the Hawthorn 250 and the Fallon 250 in the
VORA series. We were extremely fast in both
of those races and never had to get out of
the car once.”
Lonestar Racing supplies Patel’s suspension
and he runs CST Tires. Patel is pleased to
partner with some of the best of the best
in the industry.
“Lonestar Racing is awesome and they are
the best racing aftermarket parts manufacturer
out there,” said Patel. “CST Tires are great
tires. I got no flats this season, and the
Tiger Lights have been great.”
MAD Racing is an acronym for Mariah, Patel’s
wife, his name Amin, and his daughter’s name
Dahlia, so racing is a family affair.
“MAD Racing is a family and we’re here to
have fun,” said Patel. “Coming into the 2017
Parker 250, we’re going for the podium and
keep doing it. I listen to my co-driver a
lot and we will be great next year.”
Patel and MAD Racing will be ready for greatness
as BITD kicks off its 2017 season January
6-7 in Parker, AZ.
