In the SXS race, Miller battled for the lead
with fellow Can-Am Maverick racer for the majority
of the race, but in the end, Miller was able to
secure his second win of the year. With three
straight podium finishes including two wins, Miller’s
win boosted him to an impressive 40 point lead
heading into the second half of the season.

second win & third podium finish has
boosted him to an impressive 40 points
lead over 2nd place heading into the 2nd
half of the GNCC Racing season

“With the Can-Am Maverick, Elka Suspension and
Maxxis Tires, I just never had to lift,” said
Miller. “I just had to point it in the right direction
and it just went flat out.”
After years of making of name for himself at
the ATV Motocross Championship, Miller has quickly
become the man to beat in his first full year
of GNCC racing against some stiff competition,
but he accredits it to plenty of preparation and
the great companies behind him.
“We’ve been putting in so much work this year,”
said Miller. “The motocross section was an advantage
for me, but it really ended up being lines in
the woods that made the difference. That, and
lapped traffic. We were just blazing trees. Every
part of the car is in perfect condition. We put
in a lot of work and it’s paying off.”
In the 4X4 Pro ATV race, Miller put his motocross
experience to work as he charged to the front
on the track’s grassy motocross section on the
first lap. His first class victory moves him to
fourth in points.

Cody Miller
claimed his first GNCC Pro 4x4 Class win
at the Camp Coker GNCC to make history
by winning both the SXS Pro & 4x4
Pro class in the same weekend
|
“I really had to work hard for it today, but
my Can-Am Outlander was eating those fields alive,”
explained Miller. “This track has a big open grassy
area, which allows me to shine considering my
motocross experience. With the Elka Shocks, Maxxis
Tires and DWT Wheels, we were just flying out
there. I could setup every corner and carry the
speed. I airheaded the start and came out last,
but the motocross section allowed me to get ahead
early. We had a great race and it was a lot of
fun.”

Pro class with his win at the Camp Coker

Hunter Miller continued to experience bad luck
in the XC2 Pro Sport SXS class. A wheel stud problem
on the second lap ended his day early while leading
the class.
“We started on the eighth row and I was moving
up, but one of my front wheels broke off going
up the hill and that ended my day,” said Miller.
“It’s confidence building for me to see Cody doing
so well. I know if he can do it, so can I.”
Cody Miller will be back in action in two weeks
at the Limestone GNCC on the Can-Am Outlander
in the 4x4 Pro class, and the next round of SxS
racing will be held on Memorial Day weekend at
the John Penton GNCC.
