Tempe, AZ (10/13/2016) -
Pro Motorsports riders Matthew and Jeff Hancock
finished off their BITD ATV racing careers
with a victory at the Bluewater Desert Challenge
in Parker, AZ. The brothers dominated their
“home race” in the fourth and final BITD ATV
race of the season.
The Hancock Brothers missed one race this
season, and weren’t in contention to defend
their 2015 championship. They have elected
to make this their last BITD ATV desert race.

“With age comes cage, so I think this is
going to be our last year racing ATVs,” said
Jeff Hancock. “It feels amazing to go out
on top like this. After everything we’ve gone
through the last couple of years, winning
a championship last year and winning our last
race on a quad. It felt pretty good.”
The Hancock’s had to contend with high speeds
and high temperatures on Saturday. Sunday
brought rough conditions, making it even more
challenging.

“The Roll Design/Maxxis/Pro Motorsports bike
worked excellent,” said Jeff Hancock “The
suspension was dialed in and our Maxxis Tires
with Tire Blocks were excellent, especially
with all of the square edges out there.”
Their Sparks engine was also a key to victory
here. Lap times were fast on Saturday with
Matthew Hancock scorching the charts. “It
was faster on Saturday and the Sparks Motor
really turned well,” said Matthew Hancock.
“When you’re doing 85 mph on a quad, you know
your engine is strong.”

WORCS Season Finale in Primm, NV |
The Hancock’s father, Larry, was here to
cheer on his sons. He was proud of their accomplishments
this season. “They won two of the three races
they competed in,” said Larry Hancock. “If
you have to go out, that’s the way to go.
I’m looking forward to them focusing more
on UTVs.”
Though the two races were four laps long,
Matthew Hancock was itching for more. He had
fun negotiating Sunday’s rough track. “This
is my kind of racing; I wanted to do 10 more
laps out there,” said Matthew Hancock. “I
was at home and loving life. It was really
sandy and fast on Saturday. Sunday it was
rougher and I like that a lot more.”
Pro Motorsports and Matthew Hancock will
be back on track as the WORCS Racing Series
hosts its 2016 season finale October 21-23
in Primm, NV.
