Lynden, WA (3/22/2017) -
Sierra Romo made history driving
a Holz Racing Products Polaris RZR to a third
in the Pro Stock SXS race in Lake Havasu City.
In the process, she became the first woman
to finish on a Pro SxS Podium in WORCS history.
Cody Bradbury drove a Holz Polaris to fourth
in both the Pro and Pro Stock races, while
Beau Baron finished fifth in Pro. Josh Frederick
drove a Polaris specially built by Holz with
hand controls to a season best fifth-place
finish in Pro Stock.

in WORCS Racing History |
After starting sixth in the Pro Stock race,
Romo’s machine was picture perfect. Although
a rock stuck in her steering rack held her
up, she came through in the end to make the
historic run.
“I am so pumped to be on a podium with guys
that have been doing this for years,” said
Romo. “I just picked people off one by one.
The lagoon jump was gnarly. Every time I did
it, I would stop and pull a tear-off. The
car was amazing. We had a rough start, but
this podium makes me want to work harder to
get some more.”

Bradbury showed consistency in both the Pro
and Pro Stock races and actually led both
races. In the Pro event, he was held up by
lappers, while a rock jammed shifter slowed
his charge in Pro Stock. Bradbury now sits
second in the Pro points and fourth in Pro
Stock.

UTV races |
“My goal was to get through these first
few rounds and keep some points on the board,”
said Bradbury. “Havasu is always tight and
starts are so important here. It was just
one of those days, but a fourth is not horrible.”
Baron scored his best Pro finish of the season.
While he had issues in the Pro Stock race
and finished 13th, he is second in the title
chase, just five points out of the lead.

“The course was brutal,” said Baron. “There
were a lot of deep ruts out there. We were
almost high centering around the turns at
the end. The lagoon jump was difficult this
year.”
Frederick returned to the site of the accident
that paralyzed him from the waist down with
an eye on victory. Driving a Polaris with
Holz Racing Products’ hand controls, he has
continued to move through the Pro Stock field
this season and scored a top five.

“Mark built me a brand-new car this year,”
said Frederick. “I’m driving with his hand
controls and his parts. Walker Evans Shocks
helped me out, DWT Wheels and Tires are backing
me, and Polaris stepped up, as well. Mark
is a great guy. He’s been with us from the
Motorworx/Can-Am days. He got me out and he’s
keeping me going. The car is working really
well this year. Every race, we keep getting
better. The way the weekend went, we can improve
yet again.”
Holz Racing Products-built cars will be back
in action, and in front, as the series heads
to Las Vegas for an indoor race at The Orleans,
March 31-April 2.
