Greenville, TX (3/15/2017) –
Hunter Miller proved his runner-up finish in last
year’s GNCC Series finale wasn’t a fluke, as he
started off the 2017 season with a fourth-place
finish in the season opening Wild Boar GNCC in
Palatka, FL. Driving his familiar Can-Am Maverick,
Miller stepped up the XC1 Pro UTV class this season.

With rough track conditions, Miller started on
the third row with an eye on a top five. He more
than succeeded and survived the difficult race.
“This was a lot better than I finished last year,”
said Miller. “This track is so beat up that getting
around it was a battle in itself. I just wanted
to finish in the top five so I can start on the
front row at the next race and move on from there.”
Miller was happy to move up from XC2, especially
because he can run Elka shocks on his Can-Am.
The suspension, combined with Maxxis Tires and
DWT Wheels gave him the speed and endurance he
needed.

in his Can-Am Maverick

“We did a lot of suspension testing in the off
season and the car was working great,” said Miller.
“DWT just came out with a new line of Sector wheels
that are super strong. Maxxis tires are the go-to
tire for anyone out here. They are the best. I’m
running Elka shocks and that helped a good bit
with some tuning help from Double E Suspension.
The Can-Am Maverick is a proven package. The car
is awesome.”
This year marks the first that Hunter has split
from his brother Cody. Cody Miller is running
with another manufacturer, though the two are
still working together. Certainly, some good old
fashioned brotherly competition is brewing this
year. Cody Miller finished second at Wild Boar.
Look for the two to battle it out as the season
moves on.
“This is how I wanted to race and I finished,”
said Hunter Miller. “That was the main thing.
Hopefully I can go a little further forward.”
Miller will be back, and starting on the front
row, when GNCC heads to Moree’s Sportsman’s Preserve
in Society Hill, SC April 22-23.
