Racing's Alex Gillette Finished 6th in
College (16-24)
|
Gillette started off the weekend with some bad
luck on the gate picks, but this was no match
for his RRR/Hoosier/Motowoz Honda. “On Saturday
I actually got horrible gate positions with 16th
in College and 20th in 450A,” explained Gillette.
Despite the challenging gate picks, Gillette persevered
and came out to finish ninth in 450 A, and sixth
in College.
The great finishes on Saturday set Gillette up
with some better gate picks for Sunday’s second
motos. “I got the gates I wanted and I was near
the front of the pack in both classes,” said Gillette.
Gillette improved on his first moto finishes with
a seventh in 450 A, and a fourth in College.

|
Gillette has had a consistent and strong season
and is now sitting in the top five in the points
championship in the College 16-24 class. “It is
good but I always want better, so I continue to
train and try to improve. I would like to do better
and hopefully move up in the second half of the
season,” explained Gillette.
Gillette’s continued training will be put to
good use at the sixth round of the season when
the 2017 AMA ATV Motocross National Championship
heads to Sunset Ridge MX in Walnut, IL June 17-18.
