2015 Arctic Cat TRV 550 XT ATV Introduction

If you take your two-up riding more seriously, the next step in 2-up riding enjoyment from Arctic Cat starts with the 2015 Arctic Cat TRV 550 XT and Arctic Cat TRV 550 Limited models.

Each of the Arctic Cat TRV 550 models is built on an extended chassis featuring a two-passenger seat with padded backrest, passenger handles and extra footrests, making 2-up riding comfortable for both the driver and passenger. The Arctic Cat TRV chassis features double A-Arm front and rear suspensions with 10 inches of travel and 11 inches of ground clearance, so you can ride the rough with confidence. Both models also come with a rear swaybar for enhanced cornering.

They’re powered by the 550H1 engine with alwaysoptimized Electronic Fuel Injection and matched by the performance and dependability of the Duramatic Automatic transmission featuring convenient, selectable electronic 2WD/4WD and front differential lock via handlebar-mounted switch.

For the ultimate in riding comfort, the both models feature Arctic Cat’s Variable Assist Electronic Power Steering (EPS) for steering assistance that begins at engine idle and provides significantly reduced steering effort when in 4WD, especially when the differential lock is engaged.

The variable assist system is driven by an electronic control unit (ECU) that measures steering input force versus tire resistance and vehicle speed then provides appropriate assist to the steering column through an electric motor. The result is a light steering input effort, but with enough feedback so the rider senses the tire contact patch in relation to the terrain.

When it’s time to go solo, a simple pin-pull system allows you to easily remove the passenger seat/backrest combo (XT) and you’re ready to hit the trails, or the seat can be replaced with a rear rack or cargo box. Other premium features include hydraulic disc brakes, 12-in. aluminum wheels, zero-maintenance suspension bushings, sealed drive shafts, a large 5.3-gallon fuel tank and durable, full-length plastic skid plate.

The Arctic Cat TRV 550 Limited offers the premium touring features, including a handlebar-mounted front fairing; a lockable rear touring case, mirrors and driver/passenger hand warmers.
