Thief River Falls, MN (7/29/2011) - The
Arctic Cat name has been synonymous with off road
adventure for decades and this weekend the company
is celebrating their 50th anniversary with a huge
event lasting two days in the manufacturer’s
base city of Thief River Falls.
Arctic Cat got their start back in 1962 and is
now the second largest employer in the city of
Thief River Falls, employing over 1,200 people,
which is substantial for a town with a population
of under 9,000. The average employee of the Arctic
Cat facility has been with the company for over
eleven years and most are not only dedicated employees,
but are outdoor enthusiasts as well and most use
Arctic Cat products for their recreational purposes.

Cat is celebrating its 50th Anniversary
this weekend in Thief River Falls, MN |
The area surrounding the Arctic Cat plant offers
a variety of outdoor activities including hunting,
fishing and in the winter, plenty of snow for
getting out and doing a little snowmobiling. With
those amenities at hand, it is no wonder that
Arctic Cat employees are also brand loyal and
take pride in using Arctic Cat’s line of
vehicles.
The Thief River Falls facility is where all of
the Arctic Cat snowmobiles, ATV’s and Prowlers
are assembled, while the engines for all lines
are made in the company’s new St. Cloud
facility and while being made in the USA is good
reason to celebrate, making some of the best off-road
recreational vehicles for the past 50 years is
an even better reason.
