2013 White Knuckle Brimstone
SxS / UTV & ATV Event Report
::Continued::
The drag racing started off a little slow but picked up the pace dramatically when the faster classes of the day began to pour onto the starting line. The drag strip had a full tree and timers to determine the fastest trip through the lights just like the big boys. Racing side by side, the craziness was on and the crowd loved it.

Another popular event at the 2013 White Knuckle Riding Event was the endurance race
After the drag races were through, the attention moved to the endurance course that had anything from rutted out ditches and tree bridges to a double jump with a surprise kicker right at the base of the down ramp. Tires filled the narrow track in one section and our favorite part was the start where you dropped off a shelf almost straight down into the creek and immediately back up again.
The endurance race tested both man and machine with many obstacles that racers had to maneuver including several creek crossings, log bridges, mud pits, & jumps
This part was at the very start of the course and most couldn’t figure out just how to ease off into it. It was especially fun when one rider launched his Can-Am Maverick off the bank like a missile and cleared most of the creek. Unfortunately the driver managed to go off track and it cost him a penalty to his time. This timed event was over in a flash as racers only had one chance to get through as fast as possible.
A two-lane three foot deep mud bog proved to be challenging to both ATV & SxS racers! |
Stepping out of that course and across the drag strip, the volunteer force of workers had built a two-lane mud bog drag strip and two by two the racers pushed their machines to the limits. The three foot deep muck seemed to pull at the machines and there were a few that almost didn’t get to the end.
There were many ATV & SxS / UTV's that participated in the mud bog drag strip
One lone Can-Am Outlander XMR ATV made easy work of the pit and took home a few more tickets. Of course the White Knuckle event wouldn’t be anything without the dash for cash and with $250 dollars on the line. About twenty girls lined up to run the mud bog on foot for the loot.

As always there were many who braved the deep Mud Bog for the Dash for Cash
