The area attracts many riders year round, but
in the winter months it is almost like a second
home for many GNCC racers who take advantage of
the mild weather and ample amounts of trails.
It is an ideal training ground with the varied
terrain and challenging trails.

Just this year, the state hired a dedicated worker
to specifically maintain the trail system year
round, something that few riding areas can brag
about. The trails are well marked and there are
many restrooms along the way. According to maps
of the riding area, you will never be more than
a mile or two from one of the many restrooms.

Annual permits are required for each motorcycle
or ATV using the riding area. Permits are good
for the entire year (July – June) and are
pro-rated throughout the year. The riding area
does have a few rules, which you should be aware
of before making the trek, including size restrictions
on ATV’s. Besides the annual permit, there
is also a $2.00 per person fee for anyone in your
party who is not riding. Camping is allowed at
the riding area. Campers are limited to 5 people
per site and a limit of 14 days is applicable
to each stay, which is more than enough time to
explore all of the trails. Park hours are 8am-5pm;
and after 5pm, the gates are closed, so it is
a good idea to make sure you are back at camp
before that time.

area offers secure storage for your ATVs,
SxS, & even trailers |
If you chose to lodge at one of the many hotels
in the area, but are worried about storing your
ATV or trailer, Axis Powersports, located right
outside of the park, offers secure storage for
your ATV’s, motorcycles, and even your trailer.
The facility is under camera surveillance around
the clock, and a guard dog is on duty after hours
as well. Rates are very affordable at only $2.00
per night for an ATV or $5.00 per night for a
full sized trailer. The dealership also offers
enclosed storage areas, and monthly rates as well.
The Croom Motorcycle Area is a great place to
be if you love to ride trails. It is a perfect
place for a family retreat or for a weekend out
with your buddies. There are plenty of amenities
in the area and since it is in Florida, you are
almost guaranteed to have good weather during
your stay.
