Behind the Scenes of the Polaris RZR XP1K2 Video

Behind the Scenes of the Polaris RZR XP1K2 Video
::Continued::

Since the film is set in the natural beauty of the forest, it was decided that as much of the land's natural resources would be used as possible.  Taking that into consideration, Mad Media's directing duo, the Martelli brothers, Josh and Matt, began to brainstorm.

XP1K2 Jumps

The set crew used the logging property in North Eastern United States to create a very interesting course that included two huge gap jumps that is shown above

“We wanted the stunts to be incorporated into the natural environment so the whole concept of how we set things up is based on how downhill mountain bike courses are set up. Since the land we were using belongs to a logging company, we used wood that was already waiting to be logged and set things up with the natural flow of the terrain,” said Josh Martelli.

XP1K2 Thread the Needle

One of the most unique obstacles in the XP1K2 video was the "Thread the Needle" segment of the course that featured man made wooden trail much like what what you would see on a extreme mountain bike course

After checking out the land and seeing what they had to work with, the course designers/builders, Off-Road Management Group, went to work.

The Thread the Needle planks sat high in the trees adding yet another element of danger to the XP1K2 video shoot

“Our mission is to take the best drivers and vehicles we can find, put them in the most exciting locations on the planet and create compelling films that thrill audiences worldwide. That’s why Josh and I fell in love with motorsports originally, because it captured our imaginations and left us hungry for more. So naturally we wanted something that even more people could relate to, like having the ultimate woods playground. It took about six months to get everything built. It was a lot of work, but it was definitely worth it,” said Matt Martelli.
