2009 Arctic Cat TRV 400 & TRV550 H1 Plus Two-Up ATV's

Arctic Cat TRV 400 & TRV550 H1 EFI ATV Introduction

There is nothing better than sharing the ATV experience with a friend or family member. The Arctic Cat TRV Plus (Two Rider Vehicle) pioneered the concept of an ATV built to carry two riders in tandem. The best 3-in-1 ATV on the market allows you to ride tandem, or remove the seat and replace it with a SpeedRack, or for tougher chores, add a heavy-duty cargo box.

In addition to our Big Bore 700H1 and 1000H2 powerhouse TRV Cruisers, Arctic Cat offers two exciting value priced models in the TRV chassis; First is the liquid cooled 550 H1, four-stroke, EFI, or the peppy, 400 TRV with 366cc power plant. Both engine options have a Duramatic automatic transmission and Hi-Lo range.

The double A-arm front suspension and fully independent rear suspension (both with five-position spring preload adjustment) deliver 10 inches of travel and keep the ride firmly planted and comfortable. And 11 inches of ground clearance helps you clear nearly all trail obstacles.

The TRV has numerous features to ease riding convenience. Chief among them is a two-up seat with cushioned seat back for legal trail riding. Improved ergonomics and an easy pin-pull removal system allow you to transform the TRV into a single-rider vehicle. If you choose to leave it in the single rider mode, a rear SpeedRack is available as an accessory from your authorized dealer.

Passengers will appreciate integrated footrests for smooth and secure footing. Likewise, the foot brake system incorporates a remote reservoir master cylinder for improved feel, and is complemented by floating brake calipers for added value.

Up front, you’ll notice both TRV’s take styling cues from the Cat Family for a great look. The front and optional rear SpeedRacks have a contoured shape and attachment mounting positions for a multitude of accessory options. An integrated winch mount makes installation of your future winch a snap, due to the location of the winch components. A digital instrument pod displays important operation information (MPH, odometer, dual trip meters, hour meter and clock).

Going from 2WD to 4WD is as simple as pressing a shift button, while activating the front diff-lock is as easy as pushing the all-new electronic rocker switch button located on the instrument pod. Simplicity also holds true for the electronic choke system on the 400 or Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) found on the new 550H1; Start-In-Gear ability and single lever hand operated hydraulic disc brakes.

Other premium features include 25-in. Dunlop Quadmax tires, zero-maintenance suspension bushings, sealed drive shafts, a new, larger 6.5-gallon fuel tank and durable, full-length plastic skid plate.
