Arctic Cat engines lead the industry
in quality and power. The
550 engine has a dominant 545cc,
SOHC, single-cylinder, liquidcooled
engine and is designed
for a wide torque curve with the
smoothest power delivery via
Electronic Fuel Injection. The Duramatic
automatic transmission
has dynamic engine braking with
Low, High, Neutral and Reverse
with an automotive-style, console-
mounted parking brake.
Storage adorns the 550 XT
from one end to the other. Lift
the hood and you will find a
compartment that can hold
25 pounds of gear and can
double as a drainable ice cooler.
The composite tilting cargo bed
has a 600-lb. payload with a
pickup-style tailgate.
The cab of every Prowler is
equipped with comfortable,
sculpted dual bucket seats with
3-point driver/passenger seat
belts, a center console complete

The front and rear suspensions
