Air Intake - Quarter wave
tuner located in intake cancels out bad sounds
reducing air intake decibels 6db to the riders
ear.
Rigid Airbox - Also reduces
sound along with new exhaust and muffler –
developed to reduce sound and increase low
end torque. The muffler has a new location,
longer head pipe and longer/larger diameter
mild steel muffler. Muffler sound decreased
4-5db.
Reduced Sound - Intake,
Airbox and Exhaust system combined result
in a 55% noise reduction over 2007 model.
What does this mean? Engineering gives example:
If you were standing on a dock and a boat
accelerated away from you, 200ft away from
the dock would be the 55% lower sound you’d
hear compared to when it first throttled away.
Clutch Ducts - Redesigned
clutch air intake for increased cooling and
flow – smooth flow that has doubled
over 2007.
Shifter Support - Support
rod now attaches to frame – more positive
engagement while eliminating shift lever to
pop out of gear.
Reduced Vibration - A rubberized
coating was placed over tailgate latches and
dense foam added to the box panels to reduce
vibration and vibration rattles. Improved
canopy mounting points reduce squeaks, rattles
and vibrations while maintaining tighter fit.
Pedal supports - Gas pedal
support hooks to frame – eliminates
side to side flex for more positive feel.
Bucket Seats Relocated -
Buckets seats moved towards center of Prowler
(towards engine housing) ½” each
side for improved ergonomics.
Easier Driver/Passenger Entry/Departure
- The armrests, or side canopy supports,
received a larger radius for ease of entry
and departure of vehicle, while new seat belts
have larger button for easier passenger and
driver removal

has a lightened steering effort on concrete
or hard packed surfaces.
Premium Footpedals - New
foot pedals for increased styling and better
boot traction. Can also be switched out very
easily for new pedal.
Plastic Fascia Bumper -
Both the XT and XTX receive a new bumper,
the XTX has a plastic fascia for enhanced
styling.
Tilt Steering - 5 position
– lever activated for easier Entry/Departure
and leg room
