	BRP’s Can-Am Outlander MAX models are designed specifically for riding with a passenger. The longer vehicle wheelbase not only delivers rock-solid stability and super predictable handling with a passenger, but one-up, too. Ability to swap the seat and rack extension box without tools makes the MAX model extremely versatile.

2012 Can-Am Outlander MAX 4x4 ATV

Newly configured for 2012, the Outlander MAX XT-P is the only sport-oriented two-up ATV. It starts with our signature Outlander MAX XT platform and two-up configuration, and then adds ACS rear suspension, a striking painted Black/ Flat Black and Yellow color scheme and much more! The Tri-mode Dynamic Power Steering provides three levels of steering assist, plus controls kickback and trail feedback. Riders can select preloaded ACS settings on the fly to match the trail or load conditions.

Can-Am Outlander 800R XT & XT P 4x4 ATV

• Air-Controlled Suspension (ACS)
  The 2012 Can-Am Outlander MAX 800R XT-P comes equipped with an industry-exclusive, air-controlled suspension. The ACS adjusts the rear high-pressure gas Fox Racing Shox-built suspension to six rider-selectable levels depending on trail conditions or rider preference. This allows the XT-P to maintain handling characteristics even when fully loaded. The ACS air compressor also comes with a hose that can be used to fill tires while out on the trail.
  
• 12-inch (30.5cm) XT-specific cast-aluminum wheels
  Upgraded twin-spoke wheels are lightweight, but also give the Outlander MAX XT-P an aggressive and premium finish. Aluminum beadlock wheels mean added performance under heavy acceleration and cornering. The XT-P runs 26-inch (66 cm) Carlisle ACT radial tires. The 4-ply tires feature a tread pattern that is aggressive enough to tackle the toughest terrain, yet provide a smooth ride in a lightweight package.
  
• Painted black/ flat black with trick yellow accents
  Designed to be incredibly resistant to scratches, the painted Black/ Flat Black and Yellow plastic offers head-turning charisma.
  
• Tri-mode Dynamic Power Steering (DPS)
  The Can-Am DPS system is outfitted with three separate selectable levels of steering assistance: Minimum, Medium or Maximum. Dynamic Power Steering provides variable steering assistance no matter what mode the rider chooses for the terrain. The system is designed to offer less assist at high speed and more assist at low speed. This technology also includes a Direct Link setup that uses advanced magnetic field sensors for faster response to steering input than competitive technology, which then minimizes steering lag. Less kickback and more trail feedback is supplied to the operator because of the 50:1 final gear ratio, which is the largest in the industry. A high-capacity 50-amp motor means the DPS will never fade with heavy use and all DPS-equipped models also come with the Visco-Lok QE.
  
• XT-specific front and rear bumper
  The front and rear bumpers are factory installed and are covered by a factory warranty. The added protection gives peace of mind in rugged conditions.
  
• BRP XL 3000 Winch
  The 3,000-pound (1,360 kg) capacity-rated winch comes complete with a roller fairlead and its remote control stows in front storage compartment.
  
• X-package Handlebar with Wind deflectors
  The X-package handlebar package includes wind deflectors for an aftermarket-like trim that is comfortable and protective.
