The second-generation 2013 Can-Am Outlander MAX 800R receives the Outlander features and characteristics, but also
has an 8-inch longer wheelbase, new passenger seat with Dynamic Passenger Comfort (DPC) ergonomics and a Convertible
Rack System (CRS). The end result is the most powerful and versatile 800-class ATV in the industry. The new-MAX family
displays the typical Can-Am ATV traits, including the trademark performance, exceptional handling and industry-leading
ergonomics, while also taking the two-rider experience to the next level. It is available in three trim levels (DPS / XT / XT-P)
in several colors for 2013. The value-priced Outlander MAX 800R is available with the industry-exclusive Tri-Mode Dynamic
Power Steering and Visco-Lok QE for exceptional handling and control without the XT add-ons. These models come in yellow
and also have 12-inch cast-aluminum wheels.
BRP engineers took an innovative approach to all aspects of the frame of this new-generation Outlander MAX. The
results are principles of design we call Geometric Contact Control. This allows the chassis of the next-generation Outlander
MAX, with its 59-inch wheelbase, to deliver the performance the Can-Am brand is known for, yet enhance the overall comfort
of the vehicle at all levels of riding for both a single rider and when ridden with a passenger.
The new, removable rear seat has been redesigned to better accommodate a passenger and now features a revised
shape, reshaped handles and increased support. The passenger area also has improved footrests. The seat is also more
flexible, form fitting, taller and sits higher to provide enhanced passenger comfort levels. When not in use, the seat can be
removed and replaced with a handy water-resistant, CRS storage bin. The rear cargo rack is accessible even when outfitted
with the rear seat or the removable storage bin.
The next generation Outlander MAX is powered by a strong 799cc Rotax V-Twin, 71-HP horsepower that can outperform
competitive ATVs with larger displacement levels. Plus, a stellar power-to-weight ratio to keep riders (and passengers)
entertained. The stylish Outlander MAX 800R offers precision handling that mixes well with its newfound comfort levels,
revitalized ergonomics, improved conveniences and no-compromise makeup.
