The Yamaha Raptor 700, the #1 selling sport
quad of 2008, has received some quality updates
that are sure to please. The 2009 Raptor 700
features a new digital meter that has been incorporated
into the new front cowl design, which includes
a speedometer, dual trip meters, odometer, a
clock, warning indicators, and has full diagnostic
capabilities.
With the new digital meter, riders will be
able to see how many miles they have put on their
ATV, see just how long that trail ride really
is, and see how fast they are going. The diagnostics
allows users to check the FI system and easily
troubleshoot if a problem were to pop up.

Yamaha also has recognized that most consumers
that buy the Raptor 700 are recreational riders
who are looking for style and comfort as much
as performance. For 2009, the Raptor once again
has received an upgrade in the form of new shocks,
which are 5mm longer and the comfort settings
have been improved. The high and low speed adjuster,
which was introduced last year, has been made
easier to adjust as well. Following the “comfort”
theme of the Raptor, the thumb throttle has
been ergonomically redesigned in order to reduce
fatigue (aka: Throttle Thumb), while out on
long trail rides or at the dunes.

As far as style goes, Yamaha has once again
got the market cornered. Yamaha will have several
color schemes to choose from including traditional
Yamaha blue and a black and red SE edition.
The SE edition features a red frame and black
plastic with marbled red and black accent pieces.
The SE also comes with GYRT heel guards and
front bumper.
There will also be a white/red/black color
combination. All color schemes will also feature
a new wave rotor design that will be a standard
feature on all Raptor 700 models.
