New 2011 Yamaha Grizzly 450
4WD EPS Sport Utility ATV Announced
Cypress, CA (6/9/2010) - Yamaha
has been known to have one of the best utility
ATV lines on the market with the Grizzly family.
In 2011, Yamaha has again stepped up to the plate
by introducing the all-new 2011 Yamaha Grizzly
450 4x4 EPS utility ATV.
The Yamaha Grizzly 450 EPS features electronic
power steering, just like its big brothers the
Grizzly 700 and 550. The ECU mapping for the
Grizzly 450 is specific to that machine and
makes riding the trails easier and more comfortable
than standard steering.

A major complaint from most utility ATV owners
and riders is that the machines are quite heavy.
Yamaha has listened to its customers and taken
that into consideration in the design of the Grizzly
450. One of the most notable features of the Grizzly
450 is its one piece frame that has been redesigned
to be six pounds lighter than previous models
and still maintain great handling. Even with the
addition of the EPS system, Yamaha has taken measures
to reduce the weight of the new 2011 Yamaha Grizzly
450, which weighs 9.9 pounds less than its predecessor..

2011
Yamaha Grizzly 450 4x4 EPS ATV features
a new one piece frame, which provides for
new suspension geometry as well. The Grizzly
450 features independent rear suspension
that is 5 way pre-load adjustable &
a new rear swaybar to maintain balance with
the new front suspension |
The front suspension settings on the frame
have changed with the front shock mounts moved
out by 38.5mm to accommodate the EPS system.
In addition to the new frame design, Yamaha
has added a new rear anti-sway bar that helps
to maintain the balance of the new front suspension
settings to give incredible handling out on
the trail.

The
Grizzly 450 also features a new sealed wet
brake in the rear, which provides consistent
braking in all riding conditions with reduced
heat & wear |
2011
Yamaha Grizzly 450 4x4 EPS ATV also comes
standard with full under-belly skid plates,
frontal A-Arm protection, & full footboards |
Another improvement is the new sealed wet brake
system. Yamaha’s wet brake system includes
3 mounting points for more stability and rigidity,
and since it is sealed, it keeps the braking system
protected from external elements. The wet brake
system also offers improved braking and causes less
brake wear as the when force is applied to the Pinion
gear, the force is amplified through the gear ratio,
which uses less pressure, to provide the same level
of braking on lesser systems, thus causing less
heat, and in turn, less wear.

those that will be doing some heavy duty work with
their Grizzly 450, Yamaha offers a Warn 2,500 pound
winch kit and a Warn plow kit as well as a 2”
receiver hitch
There are also plenty of comfort options available
to make your day of riding even more enjoyable.
Those include windshields, fairings, and heated
seat covers and grips for those cold mornings.
For the more adventurous types, Yamaha offers
a full line of gun racks, rear cargo racks, rack
bags and even soft fender bags for extra storage.

and durable mid-sized utility ATV. The 2011 Yamaha
