Step Up Easy with Rock Solid AMP Research Power Steps

AMP Research Power Steps
Irvine, CA (8/10/2007) -Whether you haul your favorite dirt ride with a Ford, Chevy, Dodge, Nissan or Hummer, there’s a rock solid built AMP Research Power Step to fit. Manufactured from high strength, aircraft grade extruded aluminum and protected by a durable non-slip powder coat finish, AMP’s Power Step offers features that no other running board, tube step or nerf bar can match. Engineered with a heavy-duty motor and drive system, and a patented multi-link design that easily handles 600 lbs., the AMP Research Power Step offers the rugged durability required of a tow workhorse, on or off the road.

Only the AMP Research Power Step automatically deploys when doors open, and then quickly retracts under the rocker panel when the doors close, out of harm’s way with no loss of ground clearance. Activated by the vehicle’s door sensors, the AMP Research Power Step extends down to a natural stepping height, dropping 12-13 inches, door sill to step. Once retracted, this power-deployable running board stays cleaner as it is not exposed to dirt and grime. For added convenience, AMP Research has introduced an L.E.D. Light Kit that illuminates the stepping surface for improved nighttime safety and an optional 2-inch Extension Kit for lifted trucks.

Nationally distributed by Bestop, the Power Step kit includes left and right side running board assemblies, two motors, mounting hardware, OEM quality wiring harness, control module and a detailed installation guide. Applications include the Ford F-150 and Super Duty, Dodge Ram (Quad and Mega cab), the Chevy Silverado, Suburban or Avalanche, GMC Sierra, Yukon, and the Jeep Wrangler TJ.
