Millican had a great holeshot and placed
6th in moto 1 |
Walnut, IL (5/5/2009) -
Dalton Millican returned to competition this
past weekend in Walnut Illinois after missing
the last event due to fractured vertebrae.
In Moto 1 Millican got the holeshot and made
his way to a 6th place finish. This was Millican's
best start since moving up from Production
C to the very competitive Production A class.
In Moto 2 on Sunday Millican was in 4th place
with the race past half way when he and another
rider got their wheels tangled together. This
crash cost Millican what looked to be a good
finish.

Millican was happy to be back racing
again after his injury |
"I was just so happy to be back racing.
I only practiced once before heading to Walnut.
The longer I waited to ride the more time it
gave my back a chance to heal up. After the
first practice Joe Byrd gave me a few tips on
some things I needed to do and it helped me
a lot. After not riding at all for three weeks
finishing 6th in that first Moto was a good
way to come back. I just got caught in a bad
position in the 2nd Moto and it cost me"
Millican said.
Millican's next event will be Steel City Raceway,
in Delmont PA. May 24.
