Suzuki ATV Summer National at Mill Creek this 4th of July Weekend
Round ten of the ATVA/ITP/Moose ATV Motocross Nationals visits Alabama on July 2
Top pros and amateurs will compete.

#12 Keith Little
Pell City, AL (6/28/06) –After an exciting round of racing at Steel City Raceway where the “Alabama Slammer” Keith Little lead the ATV stampede to claim his first win of the year, the ATVA Motocross Nationals heads south to Little’s home state of Alabama for the Suzuki ATV Summer National at Mill Creek Motocross Park in Pell City, AL on June 30, July 1-2.

The fireworks will surely fly this fourth of July weekend as Keith Little goes after back to back wins in front of a hometown crowd, and the battle for the Pro National Championship continues to heat up with the hot summer temperatures as points leader, Joe Byrd, of Tennessee along with runner up John Natalie Jr, of Pennsylvania begin to lose their solid grip on the points lead after the pair both experienced problems at Steel City, which has opened the door for Yoshimura/Suzuki Team of Wisconsin’s Doug Gust and Kentucky’s Jeremiah Jones. This potent pair swapped Moto wins at Steel City with Jones earning his fifth consecutive podium appearance as they move to within striking distance of Joe Byrd in the points lead with only five rounds remaining to determine the 2006 Pro National Champion.

To kick off this fourth of July weekend of ATV racing, the Pell City, AL Wal-Mart will be hosting an Open House on Thursday June 29th (5:00 to 7:00pm), and this will be one of the biggest autograph sessions of the year with Lonestar Racing’s Keith Little, Team Honda’s John Natalie Jr , and Team Suzuki / Yoshimura’s Doug Gust & Jeremiah Jones all attending and bringing their big rigs to the Wal-Mart parking lot. The Pell City Mayor will be attending to welcome the Pros along with the local radio station broadcasting live from the event. There will be prizes and discount coupons available for Sunday’s admission as well, so this is one Open House you won’t want to miss.

Riders will practice on Friday, June30, and amateurs will race on Saturday and Sunday, July 1-2. The pro racers practice on Saturday. Pro racing begins at noon on Sunday, July 2.

Local riders are invited to race in one of the 31 classes available for riders of all skill and experience levels. Riders can sign up at the track.

Spectators are welcome Friday through Sunday, but if you can’t make it for the entire weekend, be sure to attend Sunday to witness some exhilarating Pro racing action and amateur finals which will provide an action packed day for the entire family for only $15.00 per adult and children under six are free.
