West Springfield, MA (8/13/2014) - BCS Performance’s Josh Creamer ended the 2014 Mt. Dew AMA ATV Motocross Championships on a high note, winning the final moto of the season and taking home a second place finish.

Hot temps, humidity and mud all played a part at the Can-Am Dirt Days at Loretta Lynn’s in Hurricane Mills, TN. Rain fell off and on all weekend long and while some motos dodged the rain drops, others were not so fortunate. Either way, it made no difference to Josh Creamer as he was determined to end his season on the podium.

Mother Nature held off for the first pro moto of the day and allowed Josh Creamer to get a top five start off the line. Creamer was in the hunt and close on the heels of the number four rider. Creamer waited for an opportunity and in the fifth lap, he was able to take advantage of a mistake and move into fourth. Creamer held his position and claimed the number four spot at the checkered flag. “I was behind Josh Upperman and he made a mistake and I was able to get by him. I just put my head down and rode my own race and finished fourth,” said Creamer.

In the second moto, rain was coming down as racers were lining up, but that didn’t matter to Josh Creamer. “Everyone was complaining about it, but we’ve been pretty lucky since this was the only mud race of the year,” said Creamer.

As the gate dropped for moto two, Creamer shot off the line and grabbed the holeshot. Creamer led from start to finish and claimed the win in the final moto of the 2014 season, giving him second place on the Pro podium.

“It’s been a tough season for us but we finally got back on the podium and it feels really good. It’s a great way to end the season; taking the last moto win and being on the podium.  I really have to thank Jason at BCS and all the BCS crew, Can-Am, Walsh, Fox and all of my sponsors for all of their help this year. I also have to thank the fans, I could hear everyone out there yelling and it was a great feeling,” said Creamer who ended his season in sixth place in series points.

Despite breaking his leg just two rounds earlier, decided to run the Pro class for the final round. Despite his injury, Higgerson rounded out the top ten in the first moto and finish sixteenth in moto two, giving him 15th overall.

Ronnie Higgerson ATV Motocross

In the Pro-am class, Ronnie Higgerson gave it his all in order to try and reclaim the Pro-am points lead, but he was not able to match the leaders pace due to his injury. Higgerson claimed 5-3 finishes in the Pro-am class and rounded out the top five overall. Higgerson finished his season second in series points.

“I can honestly say that 2014 was the best season we have ever had. At one point we had a 31 point lead with 3 rounds left but unfortunately, I got hurt and ended up racing the last two rounds with a broken leg.  I raced Red Bud with a cast on my leg and decided to cut it off at Loretta’s myself. I gave it my all but it just wasn’t in the cards for me. I just really want to thank my team, my family and friends who all helped make this a great year. Without them this wouldn’t have been possible,” said Higgerson, who plans to come back and better and stronger for 2015.

It was an eventful season for the BCS Performance team which would not have been possible without all the help and support of our crew, sponsors, riders and the fans. We are already planning for next year and look forward to the 2015 season.
