BRP Wins 12-Hour ATV Race
in Texas
Can-Am Outlander Leads Utility Class from
Start to Finish
Valcourt, Canada (12/10/2007)
- From the starter's gun to the checkered
flag 12 hours later, Rick Cecco, Michael Swift
and Cliff Beasley piloted Can-Am Outlander
800 ATVs to the front of the Utility Expert
class in the 12 Hours of ATV America endurance
race held last month near Greenville, TX.
The team never looked back and its lead was
never in doubt for the entire duration of
the race.
"We look to races like
the 12 Hours of ATV America as a proving ground
for the durability of our machines,"
said Bernard Guy, ATV marketing director at
BRP. "Everyone at BRP Can-Am is proud
of the effort put forth by the racers, and,
of course, that the Outlander has proven itself
once again."
As part of the Warnert Racing
/ Can-Am X-Team Grand National Cross Country
(GNCC) team, Cecco, Swift and Beasley became
a close-knit team as they raced with and against
each other over the season. This edge added
to the performance and reliability of the
Can-Am ATVs led all three riders to win GNCC
championships earlier this year and they were
happy to add another trophy to the team's
case.
"It was a great race and
we enjoyed the course that was laid out,"
commented Cecco. "Michael (Swift) and
Cliff (Beasley) rode extremely hard and it
felt good to start out in front and stay there
the entire race. The Outlanders we rode were
the perfect machine for an endurance race
like this, we couldn't have asked for more."
Look for the three riders to
defend their GNCC championships aboard Can-Am
ATVs in 2008 out of the Warnert Racing / Can-Am
X-Team race hauler.
