ATV named "Sport Quad of the Year"

Sport magazine, part of the Affinity Powersports
Media group of magazines, named the Can-AmTM DS
450TM as its 2008 "Sport Quad of the Year."
This is the fourth time ATV Sport has named a Sport
Quad of the Year and this is Can-Am's first time
winning the award.
“To receive such an honour is quite special
for everyone at BRP,” says Yves Leduc, vice-president
and general manager for the Can-Am division. “This
is definitely a reward for all the hard work and
efforts everyone from the design, engineering
and marketing teams have put forth to make the
Can-Am DS 450 the best sport ATV in the marketplace.”
In addition to the DS 450 being named "Sport
Quad of the Year", BRP's Can-Am RenegadeTM
800 XTM was named as one of the three finalists
for the prestigious 2008 ATV Magazine "ATV
of the Year". This is the third time Affinity
Powersports Media group has given a Can-Am product
its highest honour. In 1999, the Traxter 500TM
ATV was ATV Magazine's "ATV of the Year"
and, in 2006, the OutlanderTM 650 H.O. EFI model
was also honoured with the award. This is the
11th year Affinity Powersports Media group has
handed out awards.
"We judge the Sport Quad of the Year on
three important criteria," said Jerrod Kelley,
editor of ATV Sport magazine. "They are:
market appeal, innovation and competition potential.
The DS 450 easily fulfills each of those requirements
and we were happy to name it our 2008 'Sport Quad
of the Year'."
