Hyndman, PA (11/24/05) -
Four Stroke Tech has announced that it will not be running
a fully sponsored race team for 2006. Mickey Dunlap’s
team with its signature blazing orange ATVs have been
a prominent fixture on Pro Row for the past six years
in the GNCC Series. Over the years, the team has sponsored
some of the fastest cross country racers with the likes
of Chad Duvall, Tom Tokay, Chris Jenks, Bryan Cook,
Michael Houston, and Mike Benson.
The 2005 season marked the best year for the team with
three riders in the top eleven overall including #6
Bryan Cook, #7 Chris Jenks, and #11 Michael Houston.
Both Chris Jenks and Bryan Cook earned Overall Wins
in back to back races at Yadkinville and Unadilla, and
the team had a total of four podium appearances.
After six years of race team management
and ownership, Mickey Dunlap says he has just lost his
heart for doing all the work it takes to run a professional
race team. The team had gotten to the point of being
a full-time job with very little profit. Mickey says
that he wants to get back to the basics of doing magazine
articles for his sponsors and managing Four Stroke Tech
only.

The
Four Stroke Tech Team was the perfect example
of harmony in motion with a true sense of professionalism.
Their impressive presence in GNCC Racing will
be missed. |
