Announces $50,000 Snowshoe GNCC Payout $10,000
Paid to Winner of Pro XC1 Bike & XC1 ATV race

is pleased to announce the official payout details
for the $50,000 purse for the MotorcycleUSA.com
Snowshoe GNCC, round nine of the 2009 Can-Am Grand
National Cross Country Series, which runs June
27 and 28 at Snowshoe Mountain Resort. The event
will pay a bonus of $10,000 to the overall winner
of the bike and ATV races, a bonus of $5000 for
second overall, and $3000 for third. The Snowshoe
GNCC features the roughest terrain seen all year,
with deep mud bogs, massive boulders, tree roots
and near-vertical hill climbs. The race winners
will definitely earn the added bonus money.

Snowshoe GNCC will offer the biggest purse in
the 30-year history of GNCC history. All you've
got to do is tame the toughest course of the year.

The purse will be split for the ATV and bike
race days, offering $10,000 to the overall winner
of each race-on top the normal take home award
of $1,000 for winning the XC1 pro class or $500
for wining the XC2 Lites and Pro-Am division.
The rest of the prize money is split between the
other top finishers. Essentially, the event pays
the typical $14,000 GNCC purse, and then adds
$18,000 each day in bonus money for the top-three
overall finishers.
In addition, specialty awards will also be given
out for holeshots and other awards as they have
been all season.
