Bakersfield, CA (8/27/2009) - WORCS-
Rnd #6- Washington:
H&M Motorsports would make the long trip
north to Olympia, Wa to take part in round
6 of the WORCS Racing ATV series. On Saturday,
Davi would finish 2nd in his Production A
qualifier placing him into Sunday's Pro-Am
event. On Sunday it was a different story.
After getting tangled up on the start, Haagsma
would remount and start a climb through the
pack trying to regain position. At the hour
mark, Haagsma would find himself bottled up
in the woods and as he went to go around some
of the front pack riders, he found himself
pushed out and over a steep incline up in
the hills. In the end, Haagsma was unable
to get his ATV back up on the trail and would
suffer his first DNF in over two years.
"This was a very disappointing finish
for us. Davi rode a really good qualifier
and for something like this to happen, is
murder on our points. After looking over the
situation, what do you do? He can't receive
help from anyone but a rider and the ATV was
just to far down the ravine to retrieve it.
We would like to give props to Keith Johnson
who stopped for over 10 minutes trying to
help Davi pull his quad out." Allan McCostlin
of H&M Motorsports
Davi is still second in points behind Zimmerman
in the Pro-Am class
ITP- Rnd #6- San Bernardino, Ca
Davi Haagsma showed up at Glen Helen
looking to close the gap in the Open Pro class.
Haagsma who had a solid Moto 1 finish in 6th,
wouldn't find as much luck in Moto 2. Haagsma
who was running toward the front of the pack
would find himself tangled with Jason Dunkleberger
and after getting his quad turned over and
re-fired, Haagsma would rally to an 11th for
a 6-11 finish and a 9th O/A on the day.
“I would like to thank Curtis Sparks
for building us a great motor for this race,
it was blistering fast and good enough for
me to take the holeshot in Moto 1” said
Haagsma
ITP: Davi sits 2nd in points behind Motowork’s
Jeremie Warnia in Open Pro class.
