Bakersfield, CA (5/29/2009) - WORCS
- Rnd #4 - Honey Lake MX
H&M's Davi Haagsma pulled out another
2nd place finish at Honeylake MX earlier this
month. Haagsma, who was suffering from an
earlier injury managed to finish an amazing
second place after leading for over an hour.
Davi hit a rock around the halfway mark and
took the rear brakes out. The elevation changes
in the track were just enough to effect his
lap times.
“Davi rode extremely well today. Much
better than I expected. He had a practice
crash two weeks earlier and we weren't even
for sure if he was going to ride. Davi is
a strong kid and he's got heart for sure.
Were very happy with a second place finish."
Allan McCostlin of H&M.
"I felt like I was really riding well.
The rock came around the hour mark and I just
couldn't push as hard with no rear brakes.
Dillon is riding very well, and I really have
to give him credit. He is pushing me and I
am pushing him and I am just happy we are
able to give the fans a great Pro-AM race
each and every Sunday. I'll be back for Washington
and I'm really looking forward to the trees.
This will be a new aspect for me and I am
excited to get this forest riding under my
belt and add that style of racing to my experience."
Davi Haagsma
H&M will begin riding more in the SoCal
area to better prepare for the second half
run when the WORCS series will visit Glen
Helen and Mesquite towards the end of the
year.
ITP Quadcross - Round #3 - Glen
Helen - San Bernardino, Ca
ITP went well for the H&M crew. Haagsma
continues to build experience in this Open
Pro class. The track was extremely rough from
being rode by the Pro Bikes all weekend from
Rnd #1 of the 2009 Lucas Oil Outdoor Motocross
season.
“Track was sketchy at times. I could
feel myself riding on edge alot. Glad to get
out of this one okay, thats for sure. The
ATV ran well and my team did an excellent
job today” Davi Haagsma. Haagsma went
3-5 for a 5th O/A on the day.
