ATV Backflip Variation Landed
Bomb Squad rider Caleb Moore claims the first backflip variation to dirt on an ATV

Fallbrook, CA (12/19/2007) - "Backflips have been done on quads the last four years, no tricks or anything and its time for that to change," said Caleb. Eager to take the sport to the next level, Caleb has been rotating continuous flip variations into his foam pit in Texas. On November 28, 2007, Caleb flew out to Temecula, California to make the trick official. After a few backflip trick variations into Jimmy Fitzpatrick's pit, he was ready to stick one to dirt. He "warmed up" with a few backflips to dirt and then surprised us all when he went for a "Naclfip." A Nacflip is a backflip while extending a Nac-Nac during the rotation. With a near perfect landing his first jump, he consecutively knocked out flip after flip. Some of the riders and spectators were joking about Caleb breaking the "Most Consecutive Flips" record on a quad, or anything for that matter.

It didn't take long for Jimmy Fitzpatrick to hop on his dirtbike and get in on the action. With side-by-side ramps lined up, Jimmy didn't hesitate to flip alongside with Caleb to the same landing. Jimmy added, "I've flipped multiple times next to a dirt bike, but a quad next you, that's a whole different deal. That was crazy." The guys ended up flipping until the sun set behind the California hills. It was definitely a record setting day in freestyle motocross. Caleb later added that he has more variations up his sleeve and is looking forward to some more time in the foam pit.

The footage is shown in H-Bomb Films' "Huevos 10," which is now available and shipping. Clips of the backflip can be seen in the Huevos 10 trailer on the H-Bomb Films website.
