Buchanan, MI (7/25/2014) – The JB Race Team had a great weekend at the Rocky Mountain ATV/MC National at Red Bud. The eighth round of racing was held in Buchanan, Michigan.  The weather was hot and humid with the threat of rain in the air on Sunday.

Jeffery Rastrelli took second in the Pro-Am class with 4-1 moto finishes. The podium finish boosted Rastrelli into the Pro-Am points lead heading into the final round of the season at Loretta Lynn’s.

“This was an ok weekend. By Sunday the track was really rough and single line, you really had to claim your position early. The JB Can-Am was working great and it feels good to take over the points lead, but I’d hoped to get the win” said Rastrelli. Rastrelli also finished sixth in the Pro class where he currently sits in seventh position.

Grayson Eller put together two great motos and claimed his first overall win for the season in the Schoolboy Jr. class. He posted a win in moto one and followed up with a close second in moto two.

“I had two awesome holeshots and really worked to get the win. In moto one, I took the lead on lap two and didn’t look back. In the second moto, I knew who I had to beat, so I just worked on riding smart. I am so stoked to get this win! I want to send an extra thank you to my dad, his birthday is this weekend, I couldn’t have done it without him,” regarded Eller who currently holds third in the championship chase in the Schoolboy Jr. class.

Blake Sarver secured fourth in the Schoolboy Sr. class after a scorecard of 5-5. “I made a lot of quick passes to get into the fifth spot in the second moto. The track was pretty muddy from all the watering they did and you really had to make good decisions. I am happy to come out with fourth and earn some valuable points,” regarded Sarver who currently holds third in the Schoolboy Sr. class.

Maddison Guyer made her return to the track, after taking a couple months off for an injury, and claimed second in the Schoolgirl class. Guyer had a consistent weekend posting two second place finishes.

“It was great to get back to the races and be able to race again. It was hard to be away from the track for so long! I am not fully healed yet, but am excited to have finished second against so many tough girls,” said Guyer after the round.

Tyler Peters earned fifth in the Schoolboy Sr. class. Peters scored 7-6 in the motos and currently holds fifth in the championship chase. Peters also pulled off a top ten finish in Schoolboy Jr. Open. He went 9-8 to take ninth for the round.

“This was a good weekend. I had some good motos and we got my bike even more dialed in. I am pretty hyped about my top five in Schoolboy Sr. Overall, it was a good weekend,” said Peters.

Brogan Guyer also made his return to the track after being released to compete again and had a great weekend. He earned fourth in the 90 Open Senior Class after scoring 3-4. Guyer also took a top five finish in 90 Shifter Class with finishes of 6-5.

Logan Peters earned fourth in the 50 Single Speed Class. Peters finished 3-5 in the motos and currently holds third in the championship chase.

The JB Racing Team will return for the ninth round of racing at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. The Can-Am Dirt Days national will the final race of the season and competition is sure to be fierce as the team takes to the gate at the historic track. Tune in August 9-10th to see how the JB Team wraps up their season.
