Can-Am / JB Racing Big Buck GNCC SxS Race Report

East Springfeild, PA (4/18/2014) - The number 41 Maverick of the Can-Am/JB Racing team, manned by the duo of Tim and Julie Farr, came on strong early in round number four of the 2014 GNCC series at Big Buck in Union, SC. They are just outside of the top five in the XC1 Modified points chase.

The course at Big Buck was a single lined course, which showed what a challenge it could be for racers in the last half of the race as lap traffic became an issue.

Tim Farr - GNCC Racing

Tim Farr currently sits sixth in the GNCC Racing XC1 SxS Class after round 4

“We got the holeshot and led for a few laps. Our Maverick was working great out there and then we hit lap traffic. I got stuck behind a lapper that would not move over. We followed for a bit and as I was going for a pass, the vehicle in front of us hit a tree and flipped right into our path. I hit them at about 45MPH, which unfortunately cause a significant amount of damage,” explained pilot, Tim Farr.

Luckily for the team, they finished more than half the race, which scored them a seventeenth place finish, which only dropped them back to sixth place in points after a second place finish at the opening round in Georgia.

“I’m disappointed, but we will be back and we will get a win this season. We had a strong finish at The General and I think we can win,” said Farr.

The number 44 Can-Am / JB Racing team also got off to a great start heading into the woods in the second spot, but an expected issue ended there charge early in the race.

Larry Hendershot

“My Can-Am / JB Racing Maverick got us off to a great start in second place and we were feeling really good, but then we had a problem early in the race, so that had a huge impact on our day. I would still like to thank Can-Am, JB Racing, Racer Tech and all of our sponsors for their support and we are hoping to put them on the podium at the next race,” stated driver Larry Hendershot, Jr., who ended his day in 23rd place.

The Can-Am / JB Racing team will now have over a month to prepare for the next round of GNCC UTV, which isn’t till round seven of the GNCC racing season at the Mountaineer Run in Masontown, WV on May 24-25th.

The JB Racing Team would like to thank their 2014 Sponsors for their support:
Can-Am, JB Racing, Racer Tech, ITP, Makson, DP Brake,  Fox, Super ATV, Yoshimura, Quad Shop Customs, SSi Decals, Tire Balls, Motul, Liquid Performance, Guyer the Mover, Hendershot Performance, Farr Racing Enterprises
