JB Off-Road Earns Top Ten Finishes at John Penton GNCC
Tim Farr & Larry Hendershot Jr. GNCC Racing XC1 UTV Racers

Millfield, OH (6/13/2014) - The JB Off-Road Racing Team put on a good show at the fourth round of UTV racing at the Grand National Cross Country Series. The Can-AM JB 44 Maverick driven by Larry Hendershot claimed seventh, while the JB Off-Road Can-Am 41 Maverick claimed eighth.

Larry Hendershot and the Can-Am / JB 44 Maverick got off to a great start. He started on the second row, and quickly worked his way into third position. He took over the second position on lap three, changing hard though the tight track and lappers. Hendershot began to fall back in the second half of the race and crossed the checkers in seventh.

Tim Farr, piloting the JB Off-Road / Can-Am 41 Maverick grabbed the holeshot off of line one and commanded the early lead. By the end of lap one, Farr had gapped over 18 seconds on the second place position. Farr continued to push until a mechanical issue forced him to back down. He steadily fell in the positions, crossing the checkers in eighth.

“I had a really great start and everything felt awesome. The JB prepped Maverick was dialed in and we were flying. The track was tight, but everything was going smoothly. It’s unfortunate that we ended up with a mechanical issue. I had to back down just to keep the car on the track. With that said, I am still happy to come away with some points and looking forward to summer break and coming back in the fall looking for a win,” regarded Farr after the race.

The JB Off-Road team currently holds two top ten positions in the championship chase. Farr and the number 41 Maverick are ranked third with Hendershot and the number 44 Maverick holding down eighth position. The team has a few months to prepare for the fifth round of GNCC UTV racing, which will be held October 4th in St. Clairsville, Ohio.
