Joel Hetrick Takes Top Five in AMA Pro ATV MX

Blountville, TN (4/16/2014) - The JB Racing Team laid down some great motos at the second round of the Mtn. Dew AMA ATV Motocross National Championship series in Blountville, Tennessee. The race was held at Muddy Creek and although track conditions were much harder than the team is used to, they rallied and pulled away with several top finishes.

Long time JB Racing team member, Jeffrey Rastrelli had a phenomenal weekend. First, the Florida native earned fifth in the AMA Pro ATV class after notching a score card of 5-5. The newest racer for the team, Joel Hetrick, put in a hard day’s work to take fourth in the AMA Pro ATV class. Hetrick had a great ride in moto one, he battled up front all day and crossed the finish in third.  He had a solid race going in moto two, but a mishap put him off the quad and set him back from fourth to tenth. Hetrick was able to make up some time and crossed the finish in seventh.

“This was a different track than we are used to, it was really blue groove and hard pack, but my Can-Am handled it great and I had fun. I am bummed that the second moto didn’t go better, but I will be ready to go for round three,” said Hetrick. He is currently ranked third in the AMA Pro ATV Class.

Duck Lloyd placed third in Open A on his JB Racing Can-Am. Lloyd scored 3-3 in the motos to earn the position. Lloyd also placed sixth in the Pro Am class after going 3-6 for the day.

I plan to work harder than I ever have before. Although I had a great weekend, I know I have a lot more work that can be done. I am excited to prove what I am capable of at round three,” Guyer expressed after the race.

Grayson Eller earned second in the School Boy Jr class on his JB Racing 300. Eller got fourth in moto one and came back strong to take second in moto two. The 4-2 combination gave him both second overall and a boost in the points chase.  Eller currently holds second in the class.
