                                  Ireland (11/17/2009) -Saturday
the 14th of November saw Justin Reid move to
the number one slot in the Ulster Aerials Quad
class of the 2009 P&O Winter Supermoto Series,
Supermoto Northern Ireland promoting the penultimate
round of the popular four-round series at the
                                  superb Bishopscourt Race Circuit.
Traveling the short distance from his Comber
base to the Downpatrick venue eager to improve
on his 4th place position with half the series
run, Reid put in a text book performance around
the initially wet but quickly drying one mile
circuit, posting fastest lap in qualifying
by one and a half seconds to secure an additional
five bonus points, before taking an unprecedented
four from four lights to flag victories on
                                    his way to maximum points.

had already won 4 of the 8 races in

Having already won four of the eight races in
total from the opening two rounds, Reid’s
wise choice to play his double points scoring
“Joker” at the meeting turned a
                                  fifty-eight point deficit into a sixty-eight
point lead at the top of the table, Reid requiring
just twelve points from a potential eighty at
the final round to secure the 2009 title.
Reid:
Clearly delighted after dominating the day’s
                                    proceedings, Justin commented, ‘I don’t
think I’ve ever scored so many points
in a single race day! 210 points is pretty
crazy but that is the beauty of the joker
system – it really can shake up the
results. Today is the first time that I have
run the new CT drag style pipes and they really
seemed to help smooth the power delivery which
suited the conditions today. It’s unfortunate
that Mark Troughton had problems here but
I guess I’ve had my fair share over
the years so I’m happy to have taken
the lead in the Championship. I have continued
to use the smaller CT 400 kit this season
and it has really punched above it’s
weight! I had a lot of fun today and can’t
wait until the last round next weekend.’
