Irvine, CA (2/16/2007) - Production of
the 2008 Kawasaki KFX450R is underway in Lincoln, Nebraska,
and one of the first production units has already arrived
in California. The highly anticipated KFX450R shipments
to dealers is expected to begin at the beginning of March,
which will be just in time for the start of the ATVA Motocross
National Series in Pell City, AL on March 10-11th.
On a recent trip to California, I had an opportunity
to meet up with the newly formed Team Green Motocross
race team consisting of #8 Jason Luburgh and #9 Josh
Creamer along with team manager, Jimmy White. For the
past couple of weeks, they have been vigorously preparing
for the start of the racing season by testing various
aftermarket components for the KFX450R from team sponsors
Pro Circuit, Elka Suspension, ITP, IMS Roll, Douglas
Wheel Technology, Renthal, RK Chains, Maxima, and QuadTech.
Pre-production testing was wrapped up last week, and
the entire team departed from California for a short
break while the production machines are delivered and
race assembled for one final round of testing in California
before hitting the race track in early March.
Fortunately, I was able to get a sneak peak at one
of the first production units, and I had the opportunity
to interview Jason Luburgh, Josh Creamer, and Jimmy
White about the new KFX450R and their outlook on the
2007 motocross racing season.
