Harrisburg, PA (2/21/2013) - Vechery Racing’s Pro-Am Rider Tim Dettling Kick Starts 2013 with a Win at
  Motorama

Harrisburg, PA (February 17, 2013) – Ohio based Vechery Racing made their
way to the 35th Annual Motorama Arenacross with new Pro and Pro-Am rider
Tim Dettling to shake down their 2013 machines as well as to gain some
valuable seat time. 2013 would see the return of last year’s winner Casey
Martin as well as a slew of fast east coast racers competing in the Open A
and Pro-Am ATV classes. Saturday Racing: First up for the night would be the Open A race where
Dettling’s Hetrick powered Honda would settle in behind Casey Martin for
the opening laps of the race. As Dettling and Martin would continue to gap
the field they would quickly find themselves trying to work through lapped
riders. Pushing his way through the tight traffic Dettling would cross the
finish line behind Martin in second place.

In front of over 9,000 race fans, Dettling would find himself again in
second behind Martin after the start of the Pro-Am final. As the two racers
again checked out from the field, Dettling would capitalize on a bobble
from Martin in lapped traffic and put the Vechery Racing Honda into the
lead. With the spotlight on and not an empty seat in the house Dettling
would cruise to a first place finish. Sunday Racing: Sunday’s race in Open A would be a carbon copy of the
night before. With an outside gate pick, Dettling would have to settle in
behind Martin and try to pressure him into a mistake. After 10 hard laps
with the two fighting their way through lapped traffic Dettling would cross
                                the finish line in second.

For the final race of the day, lapped traffic would once again play a major
role in the outcome of the Pro-Am ATV event. With another start behind
Martin, Dettling would put an inside move on after the big double and take
the lead. With the laps winding down Dettling and Martin would become
tangled in the same corner that saw Dettling make the pass earlier. As the
two tried to untangle, one rider would get around and left Dettling with a
second place finish for the second Pro-Am race of the weekend. “Overall for the weekend I am pretty pleased with the results; however I
really wanted to sweep the Pro-Am races. Unfortunately Casey and I got
stuck together but hey that’s indoors. We made some adjustments to our PEP
shocks Sunday morning and with the combination of the Six 5 Design
suspension components we were handling great today. Also huge thanks to my
crew for swapping a motor when we found an issue with our practice motor. I
really have to thank Vechery Racing for the opportunity they have given me
                                for 2013.” Dettling said.

“For our first race of the season we are very happy with Tim’s performance
and glad everyone is going home safe and healthy. This event was a great
way to start off our season and we are really looking forward to the first
round of the nationals in Georgia.” commented team owner Gloria Vechery. About Vechery Racing Vechery Racing was established in 2007 by Scott and Gloria Vechery to
support their son Scottie in his passion for ATV racing. Due to numerous
injuries suffered in 2012, Scottie has decided to take a reduced riding
role in 2013 which left an opening in the program. For 2013 the Vechery’s
have brought on Pro-Am veteran and 2010 450A champion Tim Dettling to carry
the flag for their race team.
