England ATV Motocross Series: Round 3
Jasmin Plante Goes Home with
the Open Pro Win and $2000

- Round 3 of the New England ATV Motocross
Series saw Canadian rider Jasmin Plante on his #91
Yamaha taking the overall win with a 2-1 finish. Plante
brought home the $2000 prize at The Todd Vescovi Memorial
Race held at Capeway Rovers Motocross Track in Middleboro,
Massachusetts.
In the first moto it was Joe Haavisto
#75 taking the holeshot with Jason Dunkleburger #19,
Jasmin Plante#91, Rocco Arno #101x and Nate Morello
#111 in line behind him. Dunkleburger tried to make
a move on Haavisto and went down putting Plante into
the second spot. Haavisto was on rails and no one
could challenge him for the lead, the 2006 NEATV Open
Pro Champion Matt Pomeroy #82 was coming up through
the pack to finish in the top five. Moto one top 5
were Haavisto #75, Plante #91, Arno #101x, Morello
#111, and Pomeroy #82.

In the second moto it was Jasmin Plante
#91 pulling the holeshot with Mike Pilotte #748 and
Nate Morello #111 on his rear grab bar. Haavisto #75
who had won the first moto and needed to be in front
of Plante #91 to win the overall. Haavisto had trouble
on the start and now was in last place making a show
of his own coming up through the pack. Plante #91
was making no mistakes and Rocco Arno #101x moved
to second followed by Dunkleburger #19, Morrello #111
and Team Nac's rider Danny Lewis #621. When the dust
settled Plante #91 had taken the win and the overall
for the day with Rocco Arno #101 2nd, Jason Dunkleburger
#19 3rd, and from dead last Joe Haavisto #75 4th,
and Nate Morello #111 in 5th.
Rounding out the top five overall finishers
were JasminPlante #91, Rocco Arno #101x, Joe Haavisto
#75, Nate Morello #111, and Danny Lewis #621.
Round 4 will be held June 10th at Jolly
