                                   Minneapolis, MN 5/27/2009) -
Minneapolis MN (5/26/09) -Casey Martin officially
threw his leg over his new factory-backed Polaris/Rath/Duro
Team Outlaw 450MXR this past weekend, at the
Steel City AMA MX National. Martin accepted
the challenge of competing in a premier class
on a new machine with determination, as he had
only a few days to prepare for the race.

When an unfortunate dirt bike incident sidelined
Factory Polaris Rider Landon Hurst #179 for
the remainder of the 2009 season, the search
for an additional rider was on. Hurst, who
has been part of the team since the beginning,
will be missed under the team's tent. He has
been a crucial part of helping in the progress
of the team and is anxious to return and compete
                                    with his new teammate.
Martin arrived at Rath Racing in Minnesota
early last week to spend a few days on a test
track. Not really knowing what to expect,
he was surprised. "I felt really comfortable
right away, the bike handled well and with
some time on it, I am confident I can get
it to the podium," stated Martin.
Jennifer Rath, Team Manager shared Martin's
                                    enthusiasm, "We have always believed
our machine is a contender, we have been working
very hard behind the scenes with development
and testing this season, and we continue to
show improvement each round. The addition
of Casey to our team will give us the opportunity
to continue towards our goal, to put this
                                    machine up front."
Martin is currently holding fourth place
and sixth place in overall series points in
the "Pro Am Unlimited" Class and
the "Pro Am Production" class respectively.
